Pan Lorenza delicatessen
Project Defense: Branding for Padaria Lorenza
Objective:
Craft a compelling and timeless visual identity for Padaria Lorenza, a bakery based in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, that resonates with the brand’s values of quality, tradition, and delicacy.
Challenge:
Amidst a sea of bakeries in Recife, it was paramount to ensure that Padaria Lorenza stands out. The brand required an identity that not only communicates the finesse of its offerings but also evokes a sense of warmth, reminiscent of home-baked goods.
Solution:
Design Director, Romero Melo, embarked on creating a logo that interweaved elegance with rustic charm. The chosen emblem, set in an ornate yet clean typographic style, encapsulated the bakery’s essence. The emblem, “Pan Lorenza Delicatessen,” is framed by wheat motifs, subtly signifying the fresh ingredients and the artisanal nature of the products. The color palette, combining deep green, gold, and earthy tones, added a touch of sophistication.
Various branding materials, from paper bags to metal applications and storefront designs, were conceptualized to ensure brand consistency. Special attention was given to the quality of materials and finishes, like the hot stamp application in gold and silver, elevating the brand’s perceived value.
Result:
The end design seamlessly blended the traditional with the modern. Padaria Lorenza, with its renewed visual identity, not only attracted new customers but also fostered a deeper connection with its regulars. The elegance and attention to detail in the branding reinforced the bakery’s commitment to quality, making it a staple in the hearts of Recife residents.
